I turn installation manuals and code sections into requirement tables: which box a ceiling fan needs, how the joist or brace carries the load, what clearance the manual asks for. Every row names the manual page or code section it came from and the date I checked it. Where a manual and a code section differ, both stay on the page.

Before writing here I spent years estimating residential electrical work, reading plans and manufacturer instructions to price labor and parts. That job taught me to keep the clause number next to the number it produces, and to note when a product sheet changes between revisions.
